General Information

COST

There is no cost to attend Youth Ministry.
There are small fees associated with extra events. We try to keep all events affordable for the teens.
The parish covers the cost of chaperone fees for the number of adults required by our Diocesan Safe Environment Policy.
In addition, the parish assists with the cost of spiritual events through parish subsidy & scholarships.

WHO CAN ATTEND

We welcome all teens who are in grades 6-12.  Our ministry consists of parishioners, non-parishioners, Catholics, and non-Catholics.
Friends are always welcome to attend events or youth nights as long as they are in 6th-12th grade and complete the consent forms.

ATTENDANCE

We do not have an attendance policy, EXCEPT for teens who are preparing for Sacraments. We understand that many teens have extracurricular activities, and we do not want to deter them from attending Youth Ministry. Teens are welcome as
their schedules permit. Teens preparing for Sacraments MUST attend youth ministry unless they attend Catholic School.

CODE OF CONDUCT

We strive to create a safe and healthy environment built on respect for God, others, and Church property.
OLGYM is smoke, drug, and weapon free. YM gatherings are an opportunity for us to gather as a community, therefore we ask that teens refrain from using cell phones and other electronic devices at YM. Out of respect for others, teens are asked to refrain from demeaning and foul language. Teens are asked to respect the opinions of others and to listen when others are speaking.
Out of respect for the parish, we expect that teens will not damage Church property and that they will clean up their area after meeting. All rules are for the safety and well-being of the teens and are expected to be followed.
