It is not just for those close to death. Through this Sacrament, persons who are experiencing illness of mind, body, or spirit
receive spiritual strength and healing.
Who can receive the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick?
An elderly person who is showing decline due to age
A person who is ill or preparing for a medical procedure, such as surgery or treatment
A person who is in danger of death
How do I request the Sacrament?
To make arrangements for a pastoral visit and reception of the Sacrament of the Anointing of the Sick, any person who is ill or an immediate family member, or appointed caretaker can contact the parish office at 724-838-9480. Arrangements will be made by a member of the staff to have a priest visit. If it is an emergency, call the office number 724-838-9480 and press 2.
