Funeral Servers

At Our Lady of Grace Parish, adults fulfill the ministry of server at funerals. This is an important ministry as it provides the necessary assistance that the presider needs during the liturgy. These servers are trained to serve at Mass. They also help with the introductory rites and the commendation during the funeral, which are not part of our regular liturgy. If you would be interested in this ministry, you should contact the Parish Office.  

In the Corporal Works of Mercy, we are told to “bury the dead,” so serving in this ministry is one way to do so as well as to be of service to those parishioners who are struggling with the loss of a loved.
